Joel specializes in corporate control transactions, fundamental analysis, and valuation. He has worked in private equity and investment banking for more than 15 years where he has been responsible for valuing, structuring, and negotiating the terms of proposed transactions as well as screening new business opportunities and leading due diligence teams.
In addition, Joel is also an adjunct finance professor in the Illinois Institute of Technologys Masters of Science in Finance program where he teaches a four course sequence in corporate finance that covers financial statement analysis, corporate finance, equity valuation, and investment banking. He also regularly lectures abroad at Universidad ICESI in Cali, Columbia.
