Ramon Codina

Practical Experience:


Ramon Codina is a New York Institute of Finance faculty member who specializes in Credit Risk Analysis, Corporate Finance and Valuation, and Financial Modeling. Ramon is Clinical Professor of Finance at DePaul University and a Management Consultant at Sterling Strategies Corporation, an executive education and management consulting firm. He consults to senior executives in the areas of financial planning and control, strategic financial management, valuation and mergers and acquisitions.

Ramon has over 30 years of experience in top management positions at different private companies both in the US and Europe and has served as Financial Advisor to some of the leading multinational companies such as Ford Europe, Nestlé, IBM, Old Ben, Prensa Española, La Toja Cosméticos, AT&T, Argentine Banking Corporation, Kodak, Banco Simeón, and Sears Roebuck.

Ramon served as Founder and President of Biotec Vision, a European company specializing in electronic vision training equipment. Before that, he was Assistant to the Chairman of the CELSA Group, the largest mini-mill steel group in Spain and the largest privately-owned industrial company in the North East part of Spain. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Nueva Montaña Quijano, a company traded in the three major Stock Exchanges in Spain.

Prior to that, Ramon was a Vice-President at J.P. Morgan where he worked at different departments, initially on its Madrid office and during the later years on its main (Wall Street) office. Before moving into the private sector, Ramon also worked for the Spanish Government as an Economist at the Treasury Department in Madrid.
