What is the difference between a self study and a digital classroom and what do I need to complete it?
The self study course includes a certificate of completion once completed. You must pass an exam with at least a 70% grade to receive the certificate. You may retake the test as many time as you would like in a self study course. The certificate will include all information about the CPE credits that you have received. The exams for self study courses are online, multiple choice, and not proctored.
The digital classroom course is a course where you can receive a certificate of completion and a certificate of mastery. The certificate of completion is a certificate that states you have completed the learning materials for the course and does not award any CPE credits. The certificate of mastery is awarded when the student sits for the final exam that is associated with the course and receives a passing grade of 70% or above. Only then they will receive CPE credits. If the student fails the exam at the first attempt, they can sit for the exam again. A $300 fee will be charged to cover the proctoring costs. The exam is online, multiple choice, proctored, and timed.
