Goldman Sachs, Barclays Alumni Joins New York Institute of Finance to Teach Markets Course

Credit veteran Chris White to take students inside rapidly changing worlds of fixed income and market mechanics this fall

New York  August 18, 2015 – The New York Institute of Finance (NYIF), one of America’s oldest financial education providers, today announced financial veteran Chris White joined the faculty. White will teach a course this fall that explores the impact of electronic trading on the mechanics and structure of markets for financial instruments. This is a particularly topical subject given recent debates pertaining to the impact of high frequency trading on price discovery, liquidity and overall market integrity.

White held senior credit positions at Goldman Sachs, Barclay’s and MarketAxess, serving on the forefront of the changing market behavior through financial technology. He also worked as an equity arbitrage trader and in fixed income sales.

“My career has taught me that the markets are always changing. With this course, I hope to equip the next generation of financial professionals and executives with the tools they need to navigate this change and eventually develop market innovations of their own.”

The course will take advantage of NYIF’s industry-leading collaboration and multimedia tools, including video content and video chat directly with the inductor.

“We are honored to include Chris White to our experienced faculty. Chris brings a unique perspective on the rapidly changing fixed income market and will surely provide our students with the tools they need to succeed in the space,” said Managing Director of NYIF, Lee Arthur.

NYIF offers more than 100 finance-related courses through in person programs and online courses on four continents. Upon completing their courses, students join an alumni network over tens of thousands of students at leading companies, institutions and government around the world.
