Financial Education in China - NYIF Expands Reach
NYIF (China) partners with Xinhuanet and the University of International Business and Economics
BEIJING – AUGUST 11, 2014 – The New York Institute of Finance (NYIF), one of America’s oldest financial education providers, is expanding its presence as an educator in China through two newly signed strategic agreements with online news outlet Xinhuanet and the University of International Business and Economics.
NYIF began operating in China as NYIF China in 2008. Since that time, it has established financial education programs with top Chinese banks. These new agreements extend the reach and availability of educational opportunities in China’s rapidly developing financial sector.
NYIF students in China will now have access to news articles and materials published by the Xinhua News Agency, the state press agency of the People’s Republic of China, including financial and regional business news across more than 30 provinces in the country.
The strategic agreement with the School of Distance Education at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing will bring NYIF’s online finance courses into Chinese universities, including non-degree educational departments. NYIF’s classic online courses will be delivered through 15 teaching centers at the School of Distance Education in China.
Lee Arthur, Managing Director, New York Institute of Finance & Execsense said that the new partnerships demonstrate NYIF’s global reach and relevance.
“We are building a robust online educational offering in China. It’s the ethos of NYIF to design educational content that trains finance professionals not just in theory but in the practical skills they need to do their work well. We are delighted to be reaching even more Chinese students and believe we are playing an important role in synchronizing and lifting financial education across the globe.”
NYIF China currently delivers education for the financial services and related industries in China including courses on topics including investment banking, financial modeling, asset management, risk management, portfolio management, securities, cybersecurity and compliance. The company has an existing relationship with Cobo ELAFS, a well-known e-learning platform supplier for China’s securities industry.
