What are my payment options?

You can pay with all major credit cards and on completion you will receive a receipt via email. Alternatively if you are a company you can choose to pay via invoice at checkout. Any invoice must be paid in full before the course starts for classroom courses, or before access is granted if an online course.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. Our E-Learning Courses issue a completion certificate on passing a course test and achieving at least 70%. Our Professional Certificate courses issue a certificate on completion of the Certificate Exam. Our Classroom Courses also issue a completion certificate and a Competence Exam is also available for some. In passing the Professional Certificate Course Exam or a Competence Exam, you will then be certified by the New York Institute of Finance as competent in the subject matter. You can proudly publish this on your CV and Linkedin profile.

Do I need a visa?

Visa requirements for entry into the US change by country. Follow this simply wizard here.

Typically you will need either a B1 visa OR you can follow the Visa Waiver programme and complete this online if you are from the circa 30 countries that qualify.

Full Name, Date of Birth, Passport Number, Passport Issue Date, Expiration Date, Nationality

Can you recommend a hotel?

The closest hotel to our 330 Hudson St headquarters is the Four Points, you can find the link to it here. Mention you are taking a course and also mention our parent company Pearson and if our corporate rates are running you will receive a discount.  We also recommend booking lower cost hotels using www.hotwire.com/ or www.booking.com.  

How interactive are online courses?
Very! The courses offer interactive exercises, animations, audio and assessments.

Will I get some kind of confirmation that my Registration is approved and completed?
As your registration is processed you will receive several emails from our system. Please add support@nyif.com to your email list of approved senders to avoid missing emails.

When can I start my class?
You may start anytime after receiving your registration confirmation email from support@nyif.com.

What do I need to do to pass the course and earn a New York Institute of Finance certificate?
Students with a final assessment grade of 70% or better are eligible for a NYIF Certificate of Completion.

Is there technical support for online courses?
You can email technical support 24/7 at support@nyif.com. Telephone support is available by calling the number at the top of our website during regular business hours (M-F, 9 am – 5.30pm EST).

Can I talk to someone regarding course subject matter?
You can call your New York Institute of Finance any time during normal business hours by calling the number at the top of our website.

How do I get the results of my exams?
Students receive instant feedback on all practice exercises and exams. All exam scores are also kept on file in the course grade book and student transcript.

Can I get continuing education credits for online courses?
NYIF self-study courses earn continuing education credits for a variety of Job Titles and Certifications. Please see relevant course pages for details.

Can I have the results sent somewhere in writing if I need them to get tuition reimbursement?
Absolutely! Just contact support@nyif.com and someone will be glad to assist you.

How much time do I have to complete my course?
Unless otherwise specified on the course description page or you have purchased a subscription learning product, online course subscriptions run for a period of 91 days, beginning on the date of registration.

Can I print out online courses?
Our online courses were designed to be viewed 100% online. While you may print any single page for note taking purposes (print as you would any web page or by using your keyboard’s Print Screen Function), there is no way to mass download or print entire e-learning modules. Our virtual lessons often include written presentation material , these can be downloaded and printed.
