Mark Shore is a faculty member specializing in alternative investments, commodities, manager and trading model due diligence, asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management.
His 20+ years of experience covers financial and commodity futures, quantitative/qualitative analysis including: developing systematic trading models, due diligence platforms of trading models and managers, asset allocation and a focus on managed futures and global macro strategies.
Prior to his current consulting work regarding alternative investment research, due diligence and business development, Mark Shore held senior management positions at Morgan Stanley's $250 million AUM Commodity Trading Advisor VK Capital Inc and Octane Research Inc ($1 billion AUM). At VK Capital he managed the research, due diligence of trading models, business development, published research and strategic development of the business unit. At Octane Research, Inc. he was responsible for quantitative risk management, due diligence of fund of funds and a member of the investment committee. He developed the S-ratio.
Mark Shore is licensed with the NFA and the CFTC and is an Adjunct Professor at the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University in Chicago.
