Afsaneh Nahavandi specializes in leadership, cross-cultural management including culture at the national and organizational levels, and teams. Her book "The Art and Science of Leadership" is now in its 5th edition.
Her experience includes leadership and supervisory training, working with leaders on understanding their own strengths and weaknesses and building their skills to be effective in various settings. She also has expertise in student success.
Afsaneh has been teaching leadership and management for over 25 years in Northeastern University in Boston and at Arizona State University for the past 21 years. She is currently the Associate Dean of the College of Public programs and Professor of Public Administration at Arizona State University. Her previous administrative experience includes director of the MBA program in the School of Global Management and Leadership and director and associate dean of University College at ASU. She has conducted training and consulting for a number of organizations in her areas of expertise and is a frequent speaker on leadership and culture.
