Zuhayr A. Moghrabi

Practical Experience:


Mr. Moghrabi is an International attorney and executive with extensive experience in the technical, business, legal and financial areas of the engineering, oil, chemical and other industries. He has covered corporate management, engineering and construction agreements, joint ventures, licensing, acquisitions, business development, project management, engineering design and plant operations. Mr Moghrabi participated in policy decisions regarding international planning and business investments and has extensive experience in international operations and negotiations with foreign governments and corporations.

Throughout his career he served as General Counsel and Counsel to various corporations and has advised several foreign governments on industrial and economic developments. He is a member of the Management Council of Chemical Week and Advisory Council of Chemical Engineering and a lecturer on International legal and financial problems, international trade, foreign investments, globalization and Islamic Law, etc., and has appeared on television in connection with these subjects.

Mr. Moghrabi is Chancellor and Professor of Law at the University of Sharjah, U.A.E, where he developed the University into a world-class University with international standards, and established affiliations of each college with a famous foreign University from the U.K., Canada and the U.S. which further solidified and enhanced the standards and programs.

Mr. Moghrabi chaired and participated in national and international seminars on Foreign Ventures, International Project Financing, Corporate Governance, Negotiations, Foreign Investments, International Trade, Globalization, Medical Ethics and Islamic Law and Middle East Legal and Business Institutions.

He is a Partner at Moghrabi and Larkin, New York and was awarded the Dean’s Medal by the New York Law School. Mr. Moghrabi is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the New York Law School. He is an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, New York Stock Exchange, NASD and International Centre of Arbitration, Cairo and he is currently writing a book on Islamic Law.
