Practical Experience:


James N. Donaldson is a New York Institute of Finance faculty member specializing in wealth management planning issues for U.S. and International clients. His experience provides insight into complex and abstract concepts in wealth management and multi-generation wealth planning.

He is currently a consultant and expert witness to the wealth management industry and high net worth individuals. He has held wealth management positions in financial planning and management at JPMorgan Chase; The Chase Manhattan Private Bank; Chemical Bank; Bankers Trust Company (now Deutsche Bank Trust); TD Bank, N.A. and Trust Company of Connecticut.

James N. Donaldson has certifications as a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) and as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP). He is a Past President and member of the Estate Planning Council of New York City, Inc. and is in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and in Who’s Who in the World.
