Chris Tidmore

Practical Experience:


Chris Tidmore is the co-founder of the Geneva Arbitrage Fund, a Pennsylvania-based private investment fund. The Geneva Arbitrage Fund employs both merger arbitrage and relative valuation investment strategies. As the co-manager of the Geneva Arbitrage Fund, Chris conducts extensive fundamental analysis of publicly traded companies and their securities in support of a diversified portfolio of hedged and arbitrage-related positions.

Mr. Tidmore formerly was a partner and portfolio manager at Madison Trading LLC responsible for investing firm capital in North American securities utilizing price arbitrage strategies. He incorporated various financial instruments deployed across investment strategies that included relative value, merger arbitrage, and balance sheet arbitrage. Chris also formerly worked as an arbitrage trader and portfolio manager for JGM Securities LLC. Prior to that, Mr. Tidmore was an options trader on the American Stock Exchange.

Prior to his work in the securities industry, Chris was employed as an auditor providing audit, accounting and consulting services to various charitable and governmental organizations. He currently serves as treasurer on the endowment board of the Kappa Alpha Educational Foundation.

Mr. Tidmore has been a faculty member at the New York Institute of Finance since 2004 and has developed and taught various courses in Financial Accounting, Portfolio Management and Alternative Investments. He also has lectured on various accounting and finance topics to both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

Mr. Tidmore holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation as well as the CPA designation.
