McCabe Hurley

Practical Experience:

McCabe Hurley is a New York Institute of Finance faculty member who specializes in Derivatives and Options. Ms. Hurley is an accomplished market professional with over 20 years of financial markets experience. After early experience as a trader's assistant for firms such as Thomson McKinnon & Wise Friedman, Inc. McCabe became an options trader for Easton & Co., Inc. in 1979. Easton & Co., Inc. was an early day hedge fund specializing in options. In 1983, McCabe joined Chicago Research & Trading (CRT), a trading partnership with market makers on most of the worlds futures and options exchanges, and became a member of the American Stock Exchange. CRT was. As a market maker for CRT, McCabe made markets in equity and stock index options.

In 1992, McCabe joined Credit Lyonnais where she marketed swaps, caps, floors and other over-the-counter derivative products. She also marketed European bonds, Eurobonds, Asset Swaps and structured products to asset managers and financial institutions. Part of her marketing mandate was to educate portfolio managers about the many uses of derivatives products. She worked in CL's New York branch as well as the Bank's headquarters in Paris. In 2001, McCabe Hurley joined the American Stock Exchange as Managing Director of Options Order Flow Marketing, where she was responsible for marketing the exchange's option execution capabilities. She also provided educational services to brokerage firms, financial planners and financial institutions around the world. McCabe operates her own derivatives trading firm covering high net worth individuals.
