Neale Steiniger

Practical Experience:


Neale Steiniger is a New York Institute of Finance faculty member specializing in Global Securities. Neale Steiniger, the President and founder of Neue Schaffen & Company, has over twenty years experience in the financial markets. She has held positions at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets Group and Barclays de Zoete Wedd in the sales areas, arbitrage trading, European equity trading and international settlements.

While at Merrill Lynch she was a registered sales assistant and serviced customer accounts. In addition, she was a trader in the Arbitrage Department where she hedged New York listed stocks and convertible preferred shares, bonds and options; and on the Foreign Trading Desk she traded securities listed on the European Exchanges for the firm's account. After joining the New York office of Barclays de Zoete Wedd Securities, she covered the Far East markets as a sales trader, working with U. S. Institutional clients. After compiling a training manual and developing procedures for direct overseas settlement, she established and managed BZW's booking and international settlements department.

Neue Schaffen & Co., founded in 1991, is a consulting firm specializing in advising firms on international securities markets' trading and settlement procedures and the development of customized educational programs. As a consultant, she has developed courses in trading, clearing and settlement procedures in the U. S. and international securities exchanges. Ms. Steiniger is an adjunct lecturer at New York University.
