Rail and Subway

From the east side of Manhattan
6 train to 51st Street, transfer to the E or V train; one stop to 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue. Head 1 block west to Avenue of the Americas.

From the west side of Manhattan
E or V train to 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue. N,R, W or Q train to 57th St. and 7th Avenue. Head east to Avenue of the Americas, South to 54th Street.

Bus

From the east side of Manhattan
M1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 to 53rd Street

From the west side of Manhattan
M50 cross-town to 50th Street. Proceed to 53rd Street.

4 and 5 Subway Line

4 or 5 train to Bowling Green. When you exit the train, go down the stairs. Take the Battery Place-Broadway exit. Go up the escalator. Take the Greenwich Street exit, which lets you out on Battery Place. Walk two blocks west (toward the water) along Battery Place. Turn right onto Washington Street and enter at 2-26. Take first bank of elevators to 6th floor.

N and R Subway Line

N or R train to Whitehall Street/South Ferry. Take the Stone Street exit. Walk north approximately one block to Bowling Green. Make a left turn on Bowling Green onto the cobblestones and walk one block until you come to the beginning of Battery Place. Walk three blocks west (toward the water) along Battery Place. Turn right onto Washington Street and enter at 2-26. Take first bank of elevators to 6th floor.

1, 2 & 3 Subway Lines

If you take the 2 or 3, transfer to the 1 at Chambers Street. 1 train to the Rector Street station. Get in toward the front of the train. As you exit the train, turn left and take the front exit. At the foot of the stairs you will see a footbridge ahead of you where Trinity Place meets Morris St. Take the footbridge. At the end of the footbridge, take the stairs to your left. As you come down the stairs, the Downtown Athletic Club will be on your right. Cross the street. Walk past the Downtown Athletic Club and the Battery Park Café. Enter 2-26 Washington Street. Tell security you are here for the New York Institute of Finance on the 6th floor. Take the elevator to the sixth floor.

E Subway Line

Take the E to World Trade Center. Exit the primary exit onto Church Street. Head south on Church Street which will become Trinity Place until you get to Morris St. (this is the same stop as the 1 Line). Once you reach this corner, you will see a footbridge ahead of you. Take the footbridge. At the end of the footbridge, take the stairs to your left. As you come down the stairs, the Downtown Athletic Club will be on your right. Cross the street. Walk past the Downtown Athletic Club and the Battery Park Café. Enter 2-26 Washington Street. Tell security you are here for the New York Institute of Finance on the 6th floor. Take the elevator to the sixth floor.

Path Trains

Take Path Train to World Trade Center. Exit the primary exit onto Church Street. Head south on Church Street which will become Trinity Place until you get to Morris St. (this is the same stop as the 1 Line) Once you reach this corner, you will see a footbridge ahead of you. Take the footbridge. At the end of the footbridge, take the stairs to your left. As you come down the stairs, the Downtown Athletic Club will be on your right. Cross the street. Walk past the Downtown Athletic Club and the Battery Park Café. Enter 2-26 Washington Street. Tell security you are here for the New York Institute of Finance on the 6th floor. Take the elevator to the sixth floor.

Ferry from New Jersey

Take ferry from Hoboken, Jersey City Harborside, or Liberty Landing to Pier A. Walk out of Battery Park to Battery Place. 17 Battery Place is directly across street, between West Street and Washington Street. Walk along Washington Street and enter at 2-26. Take first bank of elevators to 6th floor.

Lincoln and Holland Tunnels

Go south on the West Side Highway (a.k.a. West Street). Look for signs for the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Stay on the right side of the highway so that you do no exit the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel or the underpass that takes you to the FDR Drive. Make a left turn at the end of the highway onto Battery Place. Battery Park will be on your right. On your left, across the municipal parking lot, is 17 Battery Place.

Triborough Bridge/59th Street Bridge/Midtown Tunnel

Take the FDR Drive south (downtown). Near the end of the drive you will see a sign Battery Park/Staten Island Ferry. Bear right onto the service road, which is South Street. After you cross Broad Street you will drive one block and then make a right turn. You are now on State Street. After one block, State Street turns left* and after another long block curves right. (Battery Park will be on your left.) Continue on State Street crossing Pearl and Bridge Streets. Turn left on the next block, which is Battery Place. Drive three blocks west (toward the water) to 17 Battery Place.

*If you are not permitted to make a left turn, drive straight ahead for one block on Whitehall Street. Make a left turn on Pearl Street and after on block a right turn which will bring you back on State Street. Cross Bridge Street. The next block is Battery Place.

Parking (Difficult and Expensive)


Edgar Street Entrance to Battery Park Garage – After Turning Left From the West Side Highway onto Battery Place, drive two blocks east until you come to Greenwich Street. Make a left turn and proceed for two more blocks until you come to Edgar Street. Make a left turn and drive one block. Battery Park Garage will be straight ahead.

Morris Street Entrance to Battery Park Garage – Travel west on Battery Place. Make a right turn on West Street. Travel one block north. Make a right turn on Morris Street. Battery Park Garage will be on your left.
